Question 1

How do I start a WiFi business in Tanzania?

Accepted Answer

To start a WiFi business in Tanzania, connect a MikroTik router, decide your packages (hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly), set up payments, and give customers captive portal access. WiFi Business gives you the billing system, vouchers, mobile money payments, and dashboard so you can begin selling WiFi without building software yourself.

Question 2

How much does it cost to set up my own WiFi?

Accepted Answer

The cost to set up your own WiFi depends on your location, coverage area, and equipment. You will need an internet connection, a MikroTik router, and cabling. On the software side, WiFi Business offers a Starter plan with a 7-day free trial, so you can start with low setup costs and scale as your business grows.

Question 3

How much does WiFi cost in Tanzania?

Accepted Answer

WiFi prices in Tanzania usually range from small hourly packages to daily, weekly, and monthly plans. As a WiFi Business operator you set your own prices, so you can offer affordable hourly bundles or monthly subscriptions that match your customers and location.

Question 4

How do I start a WiFi installation business?

Accepted Answer

Start a WiFi installation business by learning basic networking and MikroTik configuration, offering hotspot or shared internet setup to your first customers, and using a billing platform to manage access and payments. WiFi Business provides MikroTik setup scripts and a dashboard so you can install and manage customer networks professionally.

Question 5

Is there a free trial?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The Starter plan comes with a 7-day free trial for every new business. Sign up, get instant access to the dashboard, and start selling WiFi right away. When the trial ends, talk with us to upgrade to the plan that fits your business.

Question 6

Which plan is right for my business?

Accepted Answer

Start with Manual if you're just beginning with a single MikroTik. Choose Semi-Auto for up to 3 MikroTik devices with payment automation. Go Full Automatic for unlimited MikroTik devices, location tracking, and complete hands-off management.

Question 7

How many MikroTik devices can I connect per plan?

Accepted Answer

Manual supports 1 MikroTik, Semi-Auto supports up to 3 MikroTik devices, and Full Automatic supports unlimited devices - perfect for operators running networks across multiple sites.

Question 8

What is location tracking and which plan includes it?

Accepted Answer

Premium lets you organize MikroTik devices by site, view them on a fleet map, and compare revenue and sessions across locations with geo-analytics. Starter and Business plans do not include this - upgrade to Full Automatic (Premium) for multi-site management.

Question 9

How easy is it to migrate my data?

Accepted Answer

Very easy. Our team provides complete setup support. We'll handle data migration and ensure everything works perfectly before you go live.

Question 10

What's included in my monthly subscription?

Accepted Answer

Server hosting, 24/7 support, security updates, and feature updates. Premium plans include payment gateway and SMS API access.

Question 11

Are there any hidden fees?

Accepted Answer

No hidden fees. Transparent pricing is our promise. You pay for your system package and monthly subscription - that's it.

Question 12

Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Upgrade or downgrade anytime. We'll adjust your billing and activate the new features immediately.

Question 13

What is Operator Management and which plan includes it?

Accepted Answer

Operator Management lets you invite team members to help run your dashboard. You set exactly what each operator can create, read, update, or delete - and which MikroTik devices they can access. Available exclusively on the Premium (Full Automatic) plan.

Question 14

Do operators need to register a new business?

Accepted Answer

No. You share a secure invite link with the operator. They pick a username, verify with a one-time code, and land directly in your business dashboard with the permissions you configured. No separate business setup required.

Question 15

How long does an operator invite last?

Accepted Answer

Invite links expire after 3 days. If the operator hasn't accepted in time, the admin can resend a fresh invite from the Operators settings page. Old invites are automatically cleaned up.

Question 16

What payment providers do you support?

Accepted Answer

We support Selcom, Snippe, and Azampay. More providers can be added on request.

Question 17

How does the SMS API work?

Accepted Answer

SMS notifications are sent automatically when customers make payments or receive vouchers. You can customize the messages and templates.

Question 18

Can customers share their WiFi with others after paying?

Accepted Answer

No. The platform is built to stop connection sharing - including personal hotspot sharing. Each customer gets access on their own device, and fair usage rules help make sure one payment does not become free internet for many people.

Question 19

How does the platform keep my business secure?

Accepted Answer

Device-locked access, verified payments, anti-connection sharing, encrypted remote management, and controlled team permissions work together so your revenue and network stay protected.

Question 20

Is my data secure?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your dashboard, customer data, and payments are protected with modern security practices, secure logins for your team, regular backups, and ongoing platform updates.
